The European Institute of Education (EIE) has just been appointed a partner of the School of Psychology of the University of Leicester and is now offering three new accredited psychology specialist courses such as the MSc in occupational psychology, the MSc in psychology of work and the diploma in psychology of work, which will all start in October 2004 and are available by distance learning, flexible studies.

Both the School of Psychology and the courses are accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS), the UK body which certifies psychologists both in the UK and abroad. MSc graduates in occupational psychology may also apply for the Chartered Occupational Psychologist status, while MSc students and graduates in psychology of work are accepted as members of the BPS.

Antonello Cappitta, director of courses at EIE commented: "Lately, we have been collaborating with the School of Psychology to introduce these new accredited courses in Malta. We are now satisfied that we can offer a choice of qualitative and specialised psychology courses to existing Bachelor of Psychology graduates who have regularly enquired with us to study with the prestigious University of Leicester. I am also able to announce that together with the School of Psychology, we will introduce forensic psychology courses, which will be available to the Maltese public next year."

EIE, through its subsidiary, the European School of Management, is already offering foundation psychology courses, such as the ASET diploma in psychology and the ASET diploma in child psychology. Both qualifications are accepted as entry levels to the diploma in psychology of work by the University of Leicester. Successful diploma candidates will be accepted to join Leicester's MSc in psychology of work.
