George Vella says Labour has best team

George Vella, the Labour Party's senior delegate to the European Parliament, has described Labour MEP candidate Glenn Bedingfield as a very capable person, energetic and a true Socialist.

Speaking at a social activity for Glenn Bedingfield campaign activists, Dr Vella praised Mr Bedingfield for the decision to step into politics and said that he along with other Labour candidates for the European elections should be given all the necessary support to work for the benefit of the country.

Dr Vella reiterated that Labour had the best team for the elections and said: "We can win if we keep on telling the truth".

Other Labour MPs backing Mr Bedingfield include Gavin Gulia, Michael Farrugia, Justyne Caruana, Anton Refalo, Chris Agius and Helena Dalli.

Former Labour Minister Freddie Micallef also supported Mr Bedingfield's campaign.

During his campaign, Mr Bedingfield insisted that it is in the best interest of the country to have Labour representatives in the European Parliament.

"It would be a great honour and privilege for me to serve my country in these challenging times. And we will make an effort to turn these challenges into opportunities for our country".
