Training programme at United Automobile Ltd

A training programme for all mechanics at United Automobile Ltd, importers and distributors of Opel and Saab vehicles, is being conducted by Philip Fearn, technical trainer at the Opel Academie.

United Automobile has integrated a training facility in its new after sales centre in Lija which has now been operational since early last year.

Mr Fearn's assignments include new model features and diagnostic training for the dealer network and service engineers of General Motors international sales; annual and half-year update courses to the Great Britain dealer network and Opel Worldwide training in Cyprus, Estonia, Iceland, Russia and Ukraine;

Researching, writing and delivering 'train the trainer' courses on Opel systems to technical trainers from Delta Motor Corporation in South Africa; and delivering product training to regional service engineers for the Opel Worldwide network at the Opel Academie in Germany.

Part of the training programme was also attended by a workshop technician from an Opel dealership in Cyprus.
