Mobile phones donation

Vodafone Malta Limited has donated 10 mobile phones with Vodafone connections to the Deaf People's Association.

The company said it wanted to help the association in its efforts to better integrate deaf people into society and give them the opportunity to stay connected.

This was Vodafone's fifth annual donation to the association; it has now donated 60 mobile phones and connections in all.

There are over 3,000 hearing-impaired persons in Malta. Modern technology, such as e-mail, chat and SMS, help deaf people work and interact with the rest of the society with relative ease and total mobility, improving their quality of life, the company said.
