Flamenco dancer Francesca Grima and her husband, flamenco percussionist Andrej Vujicic, will be accompanied by two high-calibre artists from Seville - singer José El Tremendo and gypsy guitarist Joselito Acedo, in the flamenco performance of Puerto Flamenco, being held at the Caravaggio Exhibition, Caraffa Stores Vittoriosa, on June 19 and 20 at 8.30 p.m.

Puerto Flamenco is an authentic Flamenco experience, highlighting the improvisation in the various palos (musical styles) that constitute flamenco song and dance. The event portrays the different moods and colours that emerge from the diverse regions of the south of Spain.

Through years of artistic collaboration, the four artists have cultivated a deep musical understanding which is revealed through the magic of intuitive communication on stage. For the first time in Malta, in the surroundings of the port of Vittoriosa, the four artists get together: voice, guitar, dance and percussion, the four essential letters of the flamenco language with which poetry is written when the four sound as one.

Tickets, which cost Lm7, are available from St James Cavalier.
