Threads of Inspiration, a needlework exhibition by Philip Martin, is being held at the Exhibition Hall on St Francis Square, Victoria till Friday.

Inaugurated by Minister Giovanna Debono, the exhibition features 80 works in cross-stitch and petit-point.

Mr Martin's mother taught him knitting and crochet when he was five years old and he later took up needle art after moving from England to Gozo in 1991. "These pictures take many hours and much patience to complete. Typically, the St George, took up to five months of work virtually every day," Mr Martin said. The exhibition is open from 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
