Robbed of pension money
Maria Guzeppa Caruana, 80, of Birkirkara was yesterday robbed of her pension money just after cashing her cheque.
Police sources said Ms Caruana had gone to a bank in Birkirkara and returned to her home in Main Street at about 9.30 a.m. A young man, unmasked and unarmed, pushed her into the house as she was entering and Ms Caruana promptly handed over to him all of her Lm272 pension money.
He left immediately with her money without harming her.
