The Mon Lung Kung Fu school recently held grading examinations for students attending regular training classes. The school at Manwel Dimech Street, Sliema, has been holding similar activities since its foundation in 1968.

Beginners and Advanced Class martial artists were reviewed in the theory and practice of this ancient Chinese Dragon style by the founder of this discipline in Malta - Charles Gaffiero. He was assisted by Noel Gatt and Alan B. Best.

Among those making the grade was Mark Spiteri. He attained a first degree Black Belt. Certificates were presented to other successful students by Gaffiero at a presentation ceremony during which he expressed words of praise to all students for the high level reached during the grading session.

Other gradings: Yellow Belt - Daniel Baldacchino, Daniel Borg, Walton Frendo and Audrey Sant. Orange Belt - Glenn Farrugia, Chris Galea and Daniel Portelli. Green Belt - Gordon Cauchi. Blue Belt - Timmy Farrugia, Haitem Lamous and Vladimir Nicolic.
