The International Bir Miftuh Music Festival organised by Din l-Art Helwa continues on Saturday at 8 p.m. with a cello recital by Matthew Barley, a performer well known for his ability to involve his audience in his programmes.

The historic 15th century chapel of Santa Marija ta' Bir Miftuh (across the road from the airport) provides an excellent backdrop for this annual musical celebration. Proceeds from this concert, being held with the support of the British Council, will go for the upkeep of the chapel.

The evening performance comprises works by Bach, Walton and an improvisation with Indian drone by the musician himself.
