¤ A Marian week is being held by the Franciscan community of Gozo to mark the 150th anniversary of the proclamation of the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception (1854-2004), at Fontana parish church from today to Saturday.

A Pentecost celebration, led by parish priest Fr George Bezzina, is being held at St Francis church, Victoria, today at 4.30 p.m.

At 6, the procession with the statue of the Immaculate Conception leaves the church for Fontana parish church where there will be a sacramental blessing. This will be followed by a fellowship on the parvis of Fontana parish church, offered by the Bethel Charismatic Group.

On Friday at 8.15 a.m. Bishop Nikol Cauchi will lead a pontifical concelebrated Mass for students of the Secondary Seminary, followed by a Eucharistic procession from Fontana parish church to the Sacred Heart Seminary.

¤ The feast of St Paul Shipwrecked is being celebrated in Munxar today.

Bishop Cauchi will lead a pontifical concelebrated Mass at 9.15 a.m. Mgr Lawrence Sciberras will deliver the panegyric.

Traditional pony races, sponsored by the local council will be held at 2 p.m.

Vespers will be led by Mgr Joseph Curmi at 6.30.

The procession, led by parish priest Fr Frankie Bajada accompanied by the Victory Band, leaves the church at 7.30.

The La Stella Band will play on the parish square.

¤ A bazaar in aid of the Guatemala Mission will be held from Tuesday to Friday on St Francis Square, Victoria.

¤ The feast of St Anthony is being celebrated by the Franciscan community in Mgarr next week.

A pizza tombola, in aid of the village feast, is being held at St Anthony Centre on Friday, at 8.30 p.m. Tickets may be obtained from the convent.

The provincial Fr Paul Galea, OFM, will lead the translation of the relic of the saint on Saturday at 7 p.m., followed by concelebrated Mass, led by the Vicar General Mgr Giovanni B. Gauci, at 7.15. The St Joseph Band will play marches in St Anthony Street.
