Trade visit planned to Carthage Investment Forum

Bank of Valletta will be taking an active part in the Carthage Investment Forum in Tunisia between June 17-19. The trade visit is being coordinated by the Tunisian embassy and the BOV Tunis representative office will be assisting the Maltese delegates participating in the event.

The Carthage Investment Forum is being organised by the Tunisian Ministry of Development and International Cooperation and will be bringing together investors from different industrial sectors - the electric, pharmaceutical, textile and clothing industries, leather and shoes, food-industry, packaging, automotive components, new information technologies and tourism.

"This is an ideal opportunity for Maltese entrepreneurs seeking Tunisian or other foreign counterparts for their business expansion projects," Robert Darmanin, who heads BOV's representative office in Tunis, said.

"During their visit, Maltese businessmen will acquire useful information on Tunisia's economic environment, its performance and its policies with regards to foreign investment. Tunisian companies will be participating in this forum and this makes it an ideal venue for companies looking for partners or business opportunities with foreign corporations especially within the Tunisian market. Various workshops and one-to-one meetings will be arranged by the organisers."

Businesses interested in joining the delegation should contact Bank of Valletta's Business Development Department on 2131 3119, 2134 2581, by e-mail to business.dev@bov.com or by contacting the Tunisian Embassy on 2141 7070, 2141 7171 or email at.lavalette@maltanet.net.
