Can someone please explain how is it that in a country that has a large problem with waste, local bottlers are allowed to offer their beer for sale in non-returnable bottles?

The latest addition I read in the local papers is Budweiser. While congratulating Farsons on their business venture and wishing them every success, I must sound my disappointment on the point that the beer will be sold in non-returnable bottles.

Even if the mother company's policy might be not to bottle beer in used bottles, the least that can be done is to sell the beer in returnable bottles to be used for recycling.

This should also be applied to the Cisk export beer sold in glass bottles.
