ABELA. On May 23, at St Luke's Hospital, UGO, of Sliema, aged 74, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Yolanda, his sons Mario, Anton and Lino and his daughter Josette, and their families, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital tomorrow at 8.30 a.m. for Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
ASPHAR. On May 21, FREDDY, a former employee of Allied Malta Newspapers Ltd, aged 84, went to meet the Risen Lord in New York, United States. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Denise née Lapira, his daughters Gillian, Pippa and her husband Jeff, his grandson Mark, his in-laws Yvonne and Salvinu Mangion, and Iris Arrigo, his brothers Frank and his wife Paula, Bunny and his wife Louise, his sisters Madeleine and Evelina SOC, his nephews and nieces, cousins, and many friends and relations. MICALLEF SOMERVILLE. On MAY 23, at Zammit Clapp Hospital, FRANCES, née Scicluna, widow of Albert, aged 78, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Sophie, wife of Paul Formosa, Anna, wife of Joseph Bartolo, Nathalie, wife of Pierre Pace, her grandchildren, other relatives and friends.The funeral leaves Zammit Clapp Hospital today at 2 p.m. for Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar Tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.
