I am responding to Winston Azzopardi, co-producer of the film Troy (May 7), who strongly suggested doing away with intermissions so that the dramatic impact of his film is not broken.

I think there is nothing better to enhance the dramatic atmospherics of any film than the crackling of corns being popped and the guzzling and slurping of drinks, especially when trying to suck up the last drop through a straw.
