Going to Taizé

The University Chaplaincy is organising a trip to Taizé, France, for University students and students finishing Sixth Form, between September 5 and 6. The costs for the trip are very low, since the community lives on charity. It is thus very accessible for all students.

For more information visit www.taize.fr and register by sending your details to chaplaincy@ um.edu.mt or Chaplaincy, University of Malta, tel. 2340-2341.

It's an opportunity not to be missed having a meaningful break in summer! Many might have not heard of Taizé but have surely heard the chants which are born there. Who has never sung ...Adoramus Te or Ubi Caritas?

Taizé is a small village which hosts an ecumenical community of Brothers founded by Frére Roger. This community welcomes young people from all over the world throughout the year. So, at any time there are thousands of young people meeting there to take time to stop and ask questions and share their hopes about the meaning of life.

Going to Taizé is an opportunity to seek communion with God in prayer, silence and reflection. In inner peace it can be possible to rediscover "what life is for", renewing our strength for life at home.
