The Save Wied Garnaw Action Group has praised the Malta Environmental and Planning Authority for sealing off illegally built parts of the so-called Country Castle reception establishment in Wied Garnaw.

The group said that it particularly welcomed MEPA's stated intention to demolish the illegal premises and hoped that this would happen in the very near future.

The group also augured that MEPA's action signalled the start of more effective efforts to protect the countryside.
