Nationalist MP Clyde Puli was appointed president of the House Social Affairs Committee yesterday, succceeding Helen D'Amato, who is now parliamentary secretary.

Mr David Agius (PN) was appointed president of the Committee for the Consideration of Laws, succeeding Dr Jason Azzopardi, who heads the European and Foreign Affairs Committee.

Nationalist MP Mario Galea was appointed representive of the Maltese parliament in the European Parliament until June 12, succeeding Prof. Josef Bonnici, now a member of the European Court of Auditors.

Dr Michael Asciak (PN) was appointed to serve in the European and Foreign Affairs Committee instead of Prof. Bonnici while Mr Robert Arrigo was appointed to serve on the Public Accounts Committee instead of Prof. Bonnici.

Dr Michael Gonzi, Mr Franco Galea and Mr Frederick Azzopardi were appointed to the Social Affairs Committee instead of Minister Dolores Cristina, Parliamentary Secretary Frans Agius and David Agius.
