First online gaming authorisation given

WorldMatch Ltd has become the first online gaming system to receive a legal authorisation from the Maltese government, which has promoted new regulations in this area, making online gaming operators subject to controls and providing users with a form of protection.

A statement by WorldMatch said that a new scenario in the world of online gaming was developing. On the one hand, there now existed the possibility of certified operators working in a safe, controlled and transparent environment, and both investors and users were to benefit from guarantees and regulations that were far superior to those currently in force on the market.

The online gaming business was experiencing a boom, and destined to further increase within the next two years, WorldMatch said. The online casino market was shortly expected to generate significant volumes of business.

Accountability and conformity to European legislation was what distinguished WorldMatch operations from other less known online systems, especially as regards transparency.

The man behind WorldMatch is Gianni Corradini, who comes from the Veneto region in Italy. He is an Economics and International Relations Professor at the University of Trieste and managing director of Euroadvice E.E.I.G. (Brussels).
