The Electoral Commission yesterday stressed the importance of people qualifying to be registered as voters by March 31 to verify that their name and particulars have been included in the revised electoral register that was published on April 27.

The Department of Information said people who obtained Maltese citizenship through naturalisation or registration, as well as certified dual nationals, are entitled to be registered as voters in the register if they had the necessary qualifications on March 31.

Any person whose name has not been included in the register, or whose particulars need to be corrected, may appeal to the revising officer up to Tuesday. The DOI said people who intend to appeal may seek assistance at the Electoral Office in St Elmo, Valletta or at the Identity Cards Office, in Republic Street, Victoria.
