The second edition of Ohloq Tbissima, the fund-raising marathon in aid of the missions of the Missionary Society of St Paul, will this year be held between June 25-27.
The missionary animation centre organising the activity said the 60-hour marathon would involve a number of local artists who would treat the public to good quality entertainment.
The marathon will also be broadcast live, on channel 30, from St Joseph's Home in Sta Venera, with various links with PBS, NET TV and Super One TV.
A sum of Lm68,942 was donated to the cause last year, both by telephone and by cash donations made at the venue. The proceeds were given to the missions in Peru, Pakistan, the Philippines and Malta, each mission getting Lm17,235. A container of foodstuffs has also been collected and sent to Peru.
The marathon will take place in the courtyard of St Joseph's Home and will include discussions, children's corners and live entertainment between 8 p.m. and midnight.
