Senior Chinese delegation to visit

A high level Chinese delegation from the government administration for press and publications arrives in Malta today for a four-day visit.

The delegation is led by Vice-Minister Yu Yongzhan and will include the Director General of the Department for Foreign Exchange and Cooperation, Wang Huanpeng.

It will call on the Minister of Tourism, Francis Zammit Dimech and pay a courtesy visit on President Eddie Fenech Adami.

To coincide with the delegation's visit the Malta China Friendship Society is holding an exhibition of the works of the famous Chinese artist Na Yuan at the Calypso Hotel. The exhibition will be inaugurated on Friday evening by the Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono and Mr Yu.

Reno Calleja, president of the Malta China Friendship Society, was in China last February and was entrusted to organise the delegation's visit. The Chinese delegation will be visiting Malta after Germany and Iceland.
