EP nominations

The Electoral Commission yesterday received 11 more nominations for the European parliament elections to be held on June 12, including the eight Labour Party candidates.

Four were received on Monday, when nominations opened.

The nominations yesterday were for John Attard Montalto, Glenn Bedingfield, Owen Bonnici, Joe Debono Grech, Louis Grech, Robert Micallef, Wenzu Mintoff and Joseph Muscat for the MLP, Arnold Cassola for Alternattiva Demokratika, Ian Spiteri Bailey and Anton Tabone for the Nationalist Party, and Carmelo Farrugia and Norman Lowell, independents.

Ian Micallef cast his nomination for the casual election to replace EU Commissioner Joe Borg as a Nationalist MP.
