The Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST) is launching the National Research, Technological Development and Innovation (RTDI) Programme. The Programme Mana-gement Committee is inviting all interested parties to submit project proposals in any scientific field. The call was opened last Monday and will continue till June 25.
The National RTDI Programme is aimed at promoting and building a culture for continuous scientific research and innovation by providing financial support for scientific research, ranging from basic and applied research to near-to-market innovation in Malta. This objective will be achieved through three sub-programmes - Capacity Building, Scientific Research and SME Collaborative Research, open to all Maltese legal entities.
The programme has a budget of Lm300,000 for 2004, and is planned to fund between eight and 12 competitive and scientifically sound proposals. Further information and proposal forms may be found at www.mcst.org.mt/RTDI.
