The camp experience is recognised by child development professionals as valuable in helping children mature socially, emotionally, intellectually, morally and physically. It enhances children's self esteem while they learn to get on better with others, to work as a team and to act responsibly.
St Edward's College camps are held on a regular basis either at the college itself or at an outside location such as Torri Mamo which is a popular camp site for the boys.
Activities at these camps include night hikes, games, football matches, cooking, barbeques, Mass and late night discussions.
Visits to different locations are often organised, such as the visit to the Island Sanctuary which took place during the Year 6 camp when two dogs were adopted by the boys.
Year 8 camp is coming up next with similar activities being organised by the Middle School staff. This will take place this coming weekend at the college.
