Over 150 people turned up at the Vikings Sailing Club at Haywharf to try out dinghy sailing.
The open day is organised annually to encourage young and old to try out this safe but exciting sport. The take-up for courses organised by the club was extremely positive.
"We also run sailing courses for the Malta Sports Council and there was also a lot of interest in these," VSC commodore Charles Vella said.
The club has been expanding its activities from year to year, both in terms of racing and cruising and on social activities.
