At least 18 coach passengers were killed in Morocco yesterday after their vehicle skidded and overturned on a main highway, official media said.

The coach travelling from the tourist city of Marrakesh and Rabat belonged to a local company. There were no foreign tourists on board.

The accident occurred at dawn near Ain Harrouda, 17 kilometres north of Casablanca, MAP state news agency said.
