Call for withdrawal of hunting derogation

The Moviment Graffitti has urged the government to withdraw the derogation on spring hunting since, it said, it was being easily used as a loophole by hunters to kill migrating birds other than those stipulated by the law.

Graffitti also said it supported BirdLife and Nature Trust in their call for the end of the spring hunting derogation.

It congratulated the police administrative law enforcement unit for its action, and urged the government to beef up the unit so that it could cope with the case load of illegal hunting more efficiently.
