Malta making up for lost time

Propertyline Real Estate Agency recently returned from two major international property exhibitions - Homes Overseas International at NEC Birmingham and the World of Property at Sandown Racecourse, Surrey.

Both exhibitions were very well attended and presented clients with an excellent mix of property from around the globe.

Notwithstanding strong competition from other traditional retirement destinations, Malta is being seen as a leading retirement destination in the Mediterranean, mainly due to its mild winters, safe environment, English-speaking population and the island's accession to the European Union.

Propertyline's managing director Trafford Busuttil said that ever since Malta was accepted as one of the EU-acceding nations, interest in the island increased greatly, mainly because it now has the right international credentials and environment to permanently place itself on the international property map.

These new circumstances also generated great interest from a large number of clients interested in purchasing a second home on the island. A large number of clients have already set appointments for inspection visits.

In view of these extremely encouraging results, Propertyline will participate in a number of exhibitions in the coming months and they will also be actively advertising in the foremost property publications.
