The Labour Party's district committee for the 3rd district congratulated George Vella, the MLP's delegate to the European parliament, on his appointment as a member of the presidency of the European Socialist Party.

The committee said it is confident that in this new post Dr Vella would do honour to Malta and Gozo as he continued to offer his loyal service in the interest of the people and of the MLP.
