Three Qormi men were yesterday charged with trying to seriously injure two police constables on Sunday afternoon.

Ivan Galea, 29, Tristan Falzon, 21, and Anthony Zammit, 25, were also charged with threatening and assaulting PC John Falzon and PC Alfred Gauci, disobeying the police and damaging a police car in Ghar Lapsi at about 3.30 p.m. The three men were also charged with robbing three women on and before Sunday, stealing and damaging a car, driving dangerously and recklessly and without an insurance cover, speeding and failing to stop at traffic lights.
