Charged with boy's defilement

A 42-year-old man was yesterday charged with defiling a boy 11 years ago.

Carmel Vella, of Birkirkara, pleaded not guilty to defiling the boy, keeping him against his will and offending public morals in 1993. Police Inspector Louise Calleja prosecuted.

Dr Jason Azzopardi and Dr Kris Busietta appeared for the defendant.
