26 child abuse cases reported

Twenty-six child abuse cases were reported to the police last year, the highest since the year 2000 when there were 28 cases. Home Affairs Minister Tonio Borg said there were 26 related court arraignments last year, compared to 14 in the year 2000 and 17 last year. He was replying to a parliamentary question by Mario Galea (PN).
