Joanne Camilleri, first prize winner of the Bice Mizzi Vassallo music competition 1999 was guest pianist at a recital organised by Cynthia Turner at her studio in Gzira in aid of the NCW BMV Fund.

The aim of the fund is to raise money to offer young and promising artists the opportunity of an experience abroad on short courses at the Lake District Summer School of Music. This initial international experience is often the first step for young musicians to further their studies abroad.

Joanne's rendering of works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Prokofiev revealed her musicianship and dedication to piano performing. NCW would like to thank Cynthia Turner and the NCW Music Committee for organising this event as well Anthony Caruana and the Corinthia Group of Companies for their generous support.
