Obituary
GAUCI. On April 22, at St Luke's Hospital, JOSEPHINE née Pace, aged 95. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Lina and her husband Silvio Ferrito, Alphy and his wife Lina and George, widower of Irene, her grandchildren Anna, Graziella, Tracy, Adrian and Ramon, her great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 8 a.m. for the MUSEUM chapel, Blata l-Bajda, where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be appreciated.
FAVA. On April 23, STEPHEN, aged 53, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Nathalie, his children Stefan and Alison and her fiancé Mark, his parents Helga and Joe, his brother Mark and his wife Joyce, and children Fabian, Adam and Domenique, in-laws, relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

First Aid Courses
St John Ambulance is holding a series of first aid courses for housewives, mothers, students and employees from various companies at its headquarters in Valletta.

Bioplatform website
The Malta National Bioplatform, launched last October to improve research and policy cooperation and discussion for biodiversity conservation, is launching a website.
Adriana Vella, Bioplatform coordinator, invited anyone to send any relevant information on any activities related to biodiversity research and policy.
Any entity working directly or indirectly with biodiversity is encouraged to send feedback on what is felt to be urgently required in Malta to improve biodiversity conservation and sustainable use of natural resources.

MDTA council
John Salomone Reynaud was re-elected president of the Malta Dental Technologists Association (MDTA) at its annual general meeting.
The MDTA council is also composed of: Pierre Zammit, secretary; Brian Micallef, treasurer, and Mark Bugeja, John Gusman and David James, members.
A sub-committee for education and training in dental technology was set up in view of the association's participation in a Leonardo project. Its members are John Salomone Reynaud, Mario Zarb and Jacqueline Bartolo.
Fund-Raising Bazaar
The Little Sisters of the Poor are holding a fund-raising bazaar at St Paul's Home in Hamrun on Wednesday from 8.30 a.m. to noon and 1.30 to 6 p.m.
