A Maltese and an Italian were yesterday separately charged with fraud.

Stephen Borg, 25 of Sliema was charged with defrauding Antoine Tonna of Lm800. He pleaded not guilty.

Vittorio Cerchiaiaro, 35, of Naples, pleaded guilty to defrauding Ashraf Jarbo of Lm50.

Inspector Edel Mary Camilleri prosecuted.

Dr Franco Debono appeared for Borg while Dr Chris Soler assisted Cerchiaiaro
