Floriana local council's decision
In the 1980s the majority of the Maltese fought under a slogan incorporating also justice and liberty. In 2003 we have voted to enhance our liberty by voting to join the European Union. In 2004 Floriana local council is trying to restrict this liberty.
In the 1980s the majority of the Maltese fought under a slogan incorporating also justice and liberty. In 2003 we have voted to enhance our liberty by voting to join the European Union. In 2004 Floriana local council is trying to restrict this liberty. Mahatma Gandhi was quoted as having encouraged fighting any injustice in a non-violent way.
I declare that on April 30 I will proceed to the two Floriana gardens which have been allocated to the first class citizens of Floriana and totally barred and closed to all the other second class citizens of the Republic of Malta.
I am not renouncing my right to go wherever I want, when I want, provided that I am within my rights and within the law. Shame on you all!
Will Floriana local council's next step be to require us, second class citizens, to wear an armband whenever we visit some entity in the locality?
