Nadur Youngsters collected three important points from their match with Kercem Ajax to keep up the pressure on leaders Zebbug Rovers.

Play was balanced in the first half with the two teams creating good scoring opportunities. Kercem were dangerous through Belhaj and Draganov while Nadur's Joseph Portelli had a 14th minute attempt cleared off the line by Bajada.

The stalemate was finally broken nine minutes into the second half when Kercem's Draganov fired home after receiving from Elton Vella.

Kercem seemed to have the match under control but a defensive mistake gifted Nadur an equaliser scored by Anthony Portelli.

Shocked by that soft goal, Kercem betrayed signs of confusion and their goalkeeper Attard had to make difficult saves to stop attempts by Simoncic and Portelli.

In the 68th minute, Nadur turned the score in their favour from a Chris Camilleri penalty. Their recovery was complete in added time when Joseph Portelli made it 3-1.

Ghajnsielem 4
Victoria Hotspurs 0

Ghajnsielem scored two goals in each half to shrug aside the challenge of Victoria Hotspurs.

The mastermind behind Ghajnsielem's success was Kalenga Ndayi who tormented Victoria's defence throughout the 90 minutes.

Twenty six minutes into the game, Ndayi had given Ghajnsielem the lead with a spectacular header following a cross by Attard. Another fine move by Ndayi led to Ghajnsielem's second goal, scored by Joseph Attard, before the break.

After having two attempts stopped by the woodwork, Ndayi secured the Blacks' victory with a third goal before setting up substitute Joseph Buttigieg for their fourth seven minutes from time.

Sannat Lions 1
Xewkija Tigers 1

A last-gasp equaliser by Dione Lautier handed Sannat Lions an important point from their clash against Xewkija Tigers on Wednesday. This result kept the Lions two points ahead of the Tigers.

Xewkija's superior possession was converted into a 42nd minute breakthrough by Jeffrey Farrugia following a fine move by Jason Portelli.

Sannat regrouped after the change of ends, Lautier striking a shot that hit the crossbar on 56 minutes. Their pressure in the dying moments paid off as Lautier tapped the ball home after a cross from Azzopardi.

Division Two

Division Two leaders Xaghra United extended their winning sequence to 11 matches following a 4-2 victory over Qala St Joseph.

Xaghra opened a three-point lead in the first half courtesy of an Errol Grima brace and a goal by Joseph Sultana.

Qala reopened the issue when Simon Camilleri and Charlie Attard found the net to reduce the deficit to one goal. However, Xaghra made sure of victory with a late strike by Sultana.
