Saturday is World Squash Day and, to mark the occasion, the Marsa Sports Club Squash Section will be hosting a Come and Play Squash day.

Between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., the five squash courts at the club will be open to the public, free for anyone wishing to play a game of squash.

There will also be a number of experienced Marsa club squash players available to play with those who do not have a squash partner. Non-marking shoes must be worn.

Squash is a fast and intense indoor game that has a strong following in Malta and the men and women's Maltese national teams have registered very positive results in the Small Nations Games in recent years.

It is a game suited for all since players can match their style of play to suit their physique and fitness. The game depends on strategy, experience, speed, accuracy and fitness. It is also considered to be a very safe game, as long as one obeys the rules.
