Attempted theft charge
A 16-year old youth from Floriana was yesterday charged with attempted theft.
The youth allegedly collaborated with Leandross Cutajar and tried to steal money and other items belonging to Stephen Curmi from Mellieha on October 22 last year. The two smashed a window of a car parked in Naxxar and the theft did not take place independently of the accused's will, according to the charge.
Dr Jose Herrera appeared for the accused.
Inspector Simon Galea prosecuted.
