Rita Briffa, 38, of Birkirkara, was yesterday charged with attempting to kill Stephen Fenech by running him over with a car.

Briffa, who pleaded not guilty, was charged with driving a car in a reckless manner and with over speeding on January 12.

Inspector Simon Galea prosecuted.

Dr Ian Farrugia appeared for Briffa.
