Obituary

AQUILINA. On April 9, at St Vincent de Paul residence, SPIRIDIONA, aged 93, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Joseph and his wife Marthese, Vincent and his wife Anna, and Mary Rose and her husband George Abela, her sister Antonia, grandchildren, Mariella and her husband Kevin, Audrey, Olivia and her husband John, Cheryl and her husband Adrian and Lindsay, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today at 2 p.m. for the basilica of St Helena, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request, but donations to the Millennium Chapel in Paceville will be appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.

AXISA. On April 11 at St Luke's Hospital, in his 98th year, JOHN F., MBE., MOM., passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Ariadne, his children Gerald and his wife Mary Ann, Marguerite and her husband Limps, John and his wife Jay, Peter and his wife Marica, his grandchildren and great- grandchildren, his sister Sr Carmelina, relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital on Wednesday at 2 p.m. for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Creche, Sliema, will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors.

BONELLO. On April 10, at Casa Leone, LOUIS, passed peacefully away in his sleep comforted by the rights of the Holy Church. He joins his beloved wife Jo, and leaves to mourn his loss his children Kathleen and her husband Alexander, Karl, Paula and her husband Julian, his grandchildren Nikolai, Krista, Karina, Lexy, Kristoff, Karla and Kyle, his sister Imelda, nephews and nieces, in-laws, family and friends. - R.I.P.

BORG. On April 10, GIOVANNA ROSA, née Flamini, widow of George, aged 90, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her only sister Helen, Muriel, widow of her brother Alfred, Mary, widow of Joseph Borg, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.

CARTER. On April 11, at St Vincent de Paul Hospital, JOSEPH, aged 91, from Senglea, residing in Zabbar, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Victor and his wife Cettina, Marlene and her husband Joe Magro and their families, brothers and sisters, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul Hospital tomorrow at 3.30 p.m. for the Madonna tal-Grazzja Sanctuary in Zabbar, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 4 p.m., followed by interment in the family vault in the cemetery of the same parish.

DeBATTISTA. On April 10, JOSEPH, aged 74, passed away in his sleep. His gentle memory will always be alive with his wife Doris, his brother Anthony, his children Charles, Noel, Martin, Mariella and Rosetta; daughters- and son-in-law Maryann, Debbie, Celia and John; and his seven grandchildren, Alison, Pamela, Rebecca, Luke, Jeremy, Stefan and Veronica.
Happy to celebrate and to express thanks for his life, and sadly to mark his passing, Mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris parish church tomorrow at 9 a.m., with a burial ceremony later at San Nikola Cemetery, Qrendi. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Creche will be appreciated.

GALEA. On April 7, at his residence in Rabat, ANTHONY, widower of Paolina née Zahra, aged 83, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his only son Winston and his wife Myriam née Mascari, his beloved granddaughters Martina and Danielle, his brother Roger, many nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved children Torio and his wife Ann, Vanni and his wife Vivienne, Anna and her husband Ray Manduca, Edward and his wife Alida, Isabelle, Ray and Maggie, Jojo and his wife Rosanne, his adored grandchildren Christopher, Stevie and Matthew, John, Joann and Andrew, Malcolm, Gerald and Veronica, Edward and his wife Linda, Becky and Daniel, Lukan, Marc and Debbie, Simon and Erica, his only great grandson Edward, in-laws, relatives and many friends. - R.I.P.
