Deborah Cassar won the 18th Nadur Song Festival with the song The Greatest Reward.

The festival, held at the Mnarja Band Club theatre, was divided into four categories. There were 33 participants.

Apart from being voted as best overall participant of the festival with 93 points from the judges and the public, who had 20 per cent of the votes, Ms Cassar also placed first in the senior teenagers section.

The junior section was won by Daphne Xuereb with her song Quddiem l-inkwadru tal-Madonna, while Alison Sultana won the junior teenagers category with Give me your love. The senior section was won by Anita-Jane Cachia for her interpretation of Colours of the wind.

The trophies, sponsored by the Nadur council, were presented to the winners on the occasion of the twinning agreement signed between Nadur and Baveno.
