On March 27 my stepdaughter and I laid flowers on my wife's grave in the small cemetery in Mosta. As my stepdaughter was returning to the UK on April 1, we visited the grave on March 31 only to find that somebody had stolen the flowers from the pots.
They could not have blown over as the pots are set in concrete.
I hope that the perpetrator who carried out this unforgivable act can live with himself.
Just in case that this person or persons have a memory lapse, the words on the pots have the name of my late wife and my stepdaughter's mother, and that name is Jill.
It grieves me that this can happen in Malta. If the person is short of money to buy flowers I would gladly pay for them.
