Workplace bullying is a major source of stress, breakdown and malfunction in industry today. Workplace bullying can be defined as sustained nitpicking and harassment, disempowerment, devaluing work, disrespect, verbal cruelty, holding out huge threats for unspecified misdemeanors, and making professional life unpleasant and unmanageable.

Bullying is a form of psychological violence and profoundly anti-creative. It often undermines personal confidence, making people feel almost permanently uncomfortable. A functional company promotes creativity. The loss of creativity, self-esteem and joyfulness caused by bullying is a manifestation of evil.

From a faith perspective, the spiritual world and spiritual entities are real, present manifestations of people and institutions. Faith teaches us to throw off our shackles, to learn. It is behaviour that matters. Beyond, and behind this is an intention: good working relationships create and enable a virtuous spiral of encouragement and unconditional love: This applies to companies and nations as well as individuals.

The thing about bullying is that it seems to place an unbelievable pressure and restriction on people. If you are being bullied, you usually won't be enjoying life, you would be worrying about your pressure at work, and what the boss will think when you do not perform to unrealistic expectations.

By bullying one can cause stress. Stress is an adaptive response to a situation that is perceived as challenging or threatening to the person's well-being. We often hear about stress as a negative consequence of modern living.

People are stressed from overwork, job insecurity, information overload, and the increasing pace of life. Employees frequently experience enough stress to hurt their job performance and increase their risk of mental and physical health problems.

Removing the stressor may be the ideal solution, but it is often not feasible. Sometimes, employees cannot control the effects of stress on their own. Social support is an important way to cope with stress that everyone can practice by maintaining friendship. This includes helping others when they need a little support from the stressors of life.

People in leadership roles also need to practise a supportive leadership style when employees work under stressful conditions and need this social support.
