La Salle Vitality confirmed their supremacy in the women's league when clinching another championship success with one round still to go.

They started off the game with an electrifying pace and in a matter of a few minutes, they were already in the driving seat as Kavallieri looked shocked.

John Falzon's La Salle hit another good patch after the break to forge ahead 13-4.

Kavallieri showed character and didn't go down without a fight, even though the champions maintained their five-goal advantage till the end to celebrate another league win.

Aloysians Veneziani Croissant found no difficulty in earning the three points from this match.

The second half saw some balanced play but Aloysians, who at one point of the match opted for an extra forward with no-one in goal, soon shifted to a higher level and scored quick goals to practically seal the points.

La Salle Chefwrap soundly defeated Aloysians Prominent to extend their unbeaten run to 11 matches.

Aloysians were leading 2-1 early on but La Salle replied with a good run which edged them 9-4 in front after 15 minutes. They kept up their rhythm till the half-time whistle to accumulate an eight-goal lead.

La Salle's Bryan Pace had a superb match with a series of perfect assists and passes. He was also clinical in his shooting as Alan Grima's lads swept to victory.

Kavallieri made sure of the runners-up spot behind La Salle in the league after beating Salesians in a hard-fought match. This game was never easy for Kavallieri as Salesians gave them a good challenge.

After a very balanced opening, with both teams cancelling out each other's advantages, Kavallieri took the upperhand towards the end of the first half, moving into a slim two-goal lead before half-time.

The second half saw Salesians drawing level at 12-12. Kavallieri reacted fiercely but again Salesians fought back to level matters - 20-20.

Kavallieri then scored three goals without reply. At this point it was too late for the improving Salesians to get back into the game even though they never lacked the fighting spirit.
