The University Chaplaincy is once again organising Lenten Reflections in Holy Week, open for all University of Malta academic staff and other professionals.

The Irish Jesuit priest, Fr Finbarr Lynch, will be leading the reflections from April 5 to 7 at 7.30 p.m. at the University Chapel of St Thomas More.

Fr Lynch was born in County Cork in 1933. Most of his years in the Society of Jesus were spent in the teaching profession. He then spent nine years in Belfast helping individuals, groups and parishes, both Protestants and Catholics, in their spiritual and personal growth. Since 1997 he has been part of the spiritual direction team in Manresa Retreat House in Dublin.

The first reflection will focus on "Repent and believe the Good News". The second responds to Christ's invitation: "Take up your cross and follow me". The third reflection will focus on the experience of the good criminal on Calvary and the experience of betrayal. These reflections are an invitation to renew our desire to follow closely in Christ's footsteps.
