Stylish, cosmopolitan and more reader-friendly - three catchphrases that the team behind the Sunday Circle magazine have made their motto. As of next Sunday, Malta's most popular lifestyle magazine (Informa consultants, November 2003), changes format and readers should be in for a treat with a complete revamp of design and editorial policy.

In line with other top international publications, the magazine will move from the conservative A4 format to a more stylish and convenient size. In short, The Sunday Circle will go square! The cover will also be upgraded to a thicker and glossier format.

The change was spurred by the fact that many readers enjoy collecting the magazine for reference and the new shape and size will place the publication in a higher and more stylish class.

The Sunday Circle, which marks its tenth anniversary this year, is the magazine that boasts the longest association with The Sunday Times. Speaking to the newspaper, Sunday Circle publisher John Formosa explained how change and growth are the hallmarks of any successful product.

"The Sunday Circle owes its success to a combination of creativity and cutting edge thinking. The fact that it has been repeatedly voted in surveys to be the most popular magazine on the island does not mean we can rest on our laurels. On the contrary, it gives us more responsibility to ensure that the readers' expectations are met and even exceeded."

The Sunday Circle will be distributed free with The Sunday Times next week.
