Man on danger list after being hit by car

A 59-year-old man from Hamrun is on the danger list after he was seriously injured when he was walking along St Joseph High Street in Hamrun yesterday.

At around 9.45 a.m., a 42-year-old woman from Valletta lost control of the car she was driving and hit the pedestrian, police said.

Duty Magistrate Dennis Montebello appointed a number of referees to help him in his inquiry. Hamrun district police are investigating.

In another accident earlier yesterday in Zabbar Road, Fgura, the 24-year-old driver of a Citroën Saxo was slightly injured when his car was hit by a route bus driven by a 54-year-old man from San Gwann.

On impact the bus and the Citroën were shunted onto a parked Skoda Forman.
