You would not believe it, but these two fine Husky dogs were found roaming in the street at Pembroke.
A surprised Alfred Fenech of the Abandoned Animals Association just cannot accept that they were abandoned.
He wants to believe that their owner either died or else that the well groomed friendly dogs - a male and female - wandered off from their owner. A Husky puppy would cost in the region of Lm300, Mr Fenech said.
The three or four year old white Huskies were found roaming without a collar by Joseph Vassallo and Doris Dalli in Pembroke last Monday.
Mr Vassallo, a dog lover, said their first reaction was to inform the AAA. He is now keeping the dogs in a garage at Pembroke.
He said that if the owner of the dogs failed to come forward, he was willing to adopt the snow white dogs.
In the meantime, Mr Fenech criticised the abandonment of a blind black mongrel.
The dog was found by Isabel Formosa roaming in Siggiewi and was handed over to Mr Fenech.
The AAA can be contacted on 9949 4182.
