Mr Cauchi, and other correspondents who may share his views, should be made aware that we operate what is known as a "clear floor" policy at Maltapost. This means that priority is given to clearing all incoming foreign mail and effecting delivery within the shortest possible time - in most instances within 24 hours.

The exceptional delays referred to by Mr Cauchi and other correspondents in recent weeks are not of our making. Mr Cauchi is invited to visit the central processing unit at our Marsa head office and verify this for himself.
